A Powerball player struck it rich after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in Western Washington, according to lottery officials.
The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the drawing on Saturday, July 18, a Washington's Lottery and the national Powerball site.
The lottery player took home $50,000.

The winning ticket was sold at a Mr. Kleen 76 gas station at 19611 Alderwood Mall Parkway in Lynnwood, according to a Washington's Lottery spokesperson.

It takes about 55 minutes to drive from Tacoma to Lynnwood.
The Snohomish County city is about an hour and 15 minutes from Bellingham by car.

The winning numbers in Saturday's drawing were 9, 14, 44, 50 and 56 with a Powerball of 3, according to Washington's Lottery.
According to the lottery, the odds of winning the $50,000 prize are one in 913,000.
