
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Someone in Arkansas won the staggering $1.817 billion Powerball jackpot by matching all six numbers in the Christmas Eve drawing. Someone in Cincinnati won $1 million as a nice consolation.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 4-25-31-52-59, with a Powerball of 19 and a Power Play multiplier of 2. The life-changing ticket was purchased in Arkansas, and the winner can choose between the annuitized grand prize or a one-time pre-tax payment of $834.9 million.
In addition to the jackpot winner, eight other tickets matched the five white balls, earning $1 million each. These tickets were sold in Ohio, California, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and two in New York.
The Ohio ticket was sold at Kroger Co. #915, located at 7580 Beechmont Ave. in Cincinnati. The Ohio winner will receive $728,750 after 27.125% state and federal taxes.
