BDC Credit Intelligence (BDC Intel) is TPE Hub's dashboard for analyzing Business Development Companies — closed-end investment companies that lend to and invest in small and mid-sized private businesses. It aggregates portfolio-level holdings data disclosed in BDC public filings so you can review credit quality across BDCs in one place.
You can review individual loan and equity positions, industry and loan-type exposure, leverage ratios, dividend coverage, PIK income concentration, borrower-level history, and debt stack composition, with filtering, comparison, and quarter-over-quarter change tracking across BDCs.
A BDC's debt stack is the full set of borrowing facilities — revolvers, notes, CLOs, and similar instruments — that fund its investment portfolio. Reviewing a debt stack means looking at each facility's outstanding balance, total borrowing commitment, remaining undrawn capacity, and interest rate, which together show how a BDC funds its lending and how much flexibility it has left.
The tool brings position-level data across BDCs into a consistent set of views, so instead of reading through individual filings you can filter, compare, and track how a BDC's portfolio, leverage, and debt stack change quarter to quarter — making it easier to spot trends like rising PIK concentration before digging into a specific filing.
Beyond the main dashboard, TPE Hub offers dedicated BDC pages covering debt stack composition, borrower history, dividend coverage, side-by-side BDC comparison, watchlist tracking, quarter-over-quarter changes, leverage, charts, fund holders, and fee structure — each drilling into one specific area of BDC analysis in more depth.
