
The jackpots for the Mega Millions and Powerball lottery games have climbed to a combined estimated $1.06 billion after neither game produced a jackpot winner in their latest drawings.
The Mega Millions jackpot has grown to an estimated $604 million ahead of its Friday night drawing, while the Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $457 million for Saturday night's drawing.
Washington's Lottery said tickets for both games are available at lottery retailers across the state.
Recent big lottery winners in Washington:
Mega Millions ticket worth $30,000 was sold July 3 at Greenlake Gas Stations, 7200 Aurora Ave. N in Seattle.
Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at the 7-Eleven at 3625 148th St. SW in Lynnwood.
Lottery officials said several other Washington players have won large prizes in 2026, including one $100,000 Mega Millions prize, three $100,000 Powerball prizes, one $150,000 Powerball prize and one $250,000 Powerball prize.
Mega Millions drawings are held at 8 p.m. Pacific every Tuesday and Friday.
Ticket sales close at 7:45 p.m. before each drawing and resume at 8:01 p.m. for the next drawing.
Washington's Lottery noted that changes introduced to the game in 2025 increased the starting jackpot to $50 million, improved overall odds of winning, and added automatic multipliers ranging from 2x to 10x for all non-jackpot prizes.
Powerball drawings are held at 7:59 p.m. Pacific every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Ticket sales close at 6:45 p.m. on drawing days and resume at 6:46 p.m.
Since 1982, Washington's Lottery has generated more than $5.7 billion for state programs.
